Privacy

The short version

This is a publishing site. You can read all of it without giving us anything. We store your email only if you choose to submit it, we use it only for what you asked for, and you can have it deleted by asking.

What we store, and why

• Email address - only if you submit it, with which page you signed up from. Used to send the updates you asked for. Lawful basis: consent. Kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• IP-address rate counters - a counter per IP address, used solely to prevent abuse of our forms. Each counter is set to expire 48 hours after it is written and is then deleted automatically; deletion is performed by our database provider as a background process, so it can lag the expiry time by a short period. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (service security).

What we don't do

• No cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics.
• No selling or sharing of your data with anyone.
• No account, no signup wall, and no requirement to identify yourself in order to read anything on this site.

Where your data lives

All stored data is held in AWS's London region (eu-west-2), encrypted at rest. It does not leave the UK.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, and withdraw consent at any time - email [CONTACT EMAIL] and we'll action it promptly. You can also complain to the ICO.
