Privacy

The short version

You can read this site without giving us anything. If you use the contact form or email us, that is correspondence so we can reply. There is no mailing list.

What we store, and why

• From reading the site: nothing. No account, no cookies, no analytics.
• If you contact us: your email, optional name and organisation, and the message, so we can reply. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (answering you). Kept in our mailbox for as long as the correspondence is needed, or until you ask us to delete it. We do not add you to a list.
• IP-address rate counters: a counter per IP, used only to stop the contact form being abused. Each counter is set to expire 48 hours after it is written; deletion is a background process and can lag that expiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (service security).

What we don't do

• No cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics.
• No selling or sharing of your data with anyone.
• No account, no signup wall, and no requirement to identify yourself in order to read anything on this site.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data — email info@carfdesk.com and we will action it promptly. You can also complain to the ICO.
